What You’ll Do
  • Motivate and inspire the team by creating an inclusive environment that promotes positive communication while overseeing day-to-day teams' operation and performance
  • Lead the team to establish and improve battery manufacturing processes and equipment, including estimated standard times, increasing machine availability, Health, and Safety, optimize headcount
  • Lead the team to develop process documentation and ensure it is kept current e.g., manufacturing instructions, standard work documents, PFMEA, and control plans
  • Lead the team to establish and improve equipment maintenance processes, including preventative inspection, corrective repairs, and overhaul planning/execution
  • Lead your team to utilize SPC data and tools to characterize all equipment processes for operating limits, robustness, and action limits.
  • Lead and drive the team for continuous improvement projects and standardization to support best in class lean manufacturing systems to maximize yield, capacity, and capability
  • Lead the team to generate and execute business improvement ideas for cost reduction, labor savings, material flow and safety improvements
  • Lead the team to develop, manage, and improve changes within Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and line side visualization to improve productivity
  • Lead supporting activities for engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing including 5S and Lean manufacturing activities, material handling improvements, production line improvements and configuration, and safety procedures
  • Define the short and mid-term priorities and assign / interfere the team member and follow the pdca path
  • Monitor teams’ performance and share the improvement suggestions to Production engineering manager
  • Develop, and coach the process and equipment engineering team
  • Define, check, and validate the design of experiment plans
  • Bring a concept of processes to life self-reliantly and in alignment with all stakeholders
  • Create, validate, and improve work instructions
  • Monitor critical performance parameters using SPC and define tolerances
  • Conduct root cause analysis, research in new technologies and prepare the investment case
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams like manufacturing engineers, operators, quality, EHS and manage suppliers self-reliantly
  • Sync with and drive global team for lessons learnt and to share critical information for efficiency
  • Lead critical continuous improvement projects to maximize yield, capacity, and capability
What You’ll Bring
  • Skills and knowledge according to the equivalent of a University Degree in Engineering, or related field
  • Perennial experience in this functional area in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, understand, interpret and challenge basic mechanical and electrical layouts
  • Strong understanding of fundamental scientific principles to apply for the interactions between different equipment and process lines and to solve problems
  • Strong communication (both German and English) and team working skills (e.g. sharing information efficiently) at all levels of an organization
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Comfortable providing clear and focused technical guidance to outside engineering. resources, as well as the Production Team
  • Being flexible and comfortable to work in a fast-changing environment and to work under time pressure with a hands-on mentality
